What new tools have you got lately?

That little pit box on the right put that in a BBQ grill for your driveway tool box. Comes in handy. You can fit a pit box in the top with extra room for other stuff the bottom doors house a boat battery and a battery charger.No one looks in a BBQ grill so I feel safe leaving tools in that one. The little side wings make a nice work table. That's not a joke. That is my outside toolbox because I'm too lazy to walk to and through the barn everytime I need something.

Don't think I've ever heard that one! Figured the consensus would be opposite! It's our small towns old elementary school, it's probably still lead paint too lol

I like it because it reminds me of every cool old house/church/school building that has been abandoned and I wished someone would save the place.

That shade of green must have been pretty popular for a while. My house still has signs of that color in a couple small rooms and a stairwell. There's still an unopened can of that paint up in the attic, dated 1962 iirc.

Went to harbor freight and got their Pittsburgh pro torque wrenches because they are on sale right now. Now I’ll actually be able to torque things to spec!

It's definitely a very 50's-60's vibe. I believe the school was built in the 50's. I've definitely seen that color in a lot of buildings around here lol. I also like those colors, the blues are usually the best, I like the pinks too lol

Well thank you sir. Here's a current Pic. Set the pit box to one side on angle iron supports and you can store stuff next to it. Grim photo bombed this. Blow up the carburetor cleaner can, you'll see a green silicone bracelet on it. It holds the straw, I never lose the straw.

Got this RivNut tool today. My Ford buddy had bought bedside cleats for his truck with the cheesiest POS hardware for installing the rivet nuts, which of course did not work. Having used the correct tool in my past life I went ahead and bought this one. Works perfectly!

Got this RivNut tool today. My Ford buddy had bought bedside cleats for his truck with the cheesiest POS hardware for installing the rivet nuts, which of course did not work. Having used the correct tool in my past life I went ahead and bought this one. Works perfectly!

I have the big one like you just got for my steel Riv Nuts, I have a small hand one like a pop rivet for my aluminum Riv Nuts. They are great.

Just picked up a pickle fork this weekend from HF so I could finish my drag link up and get the truck back on the road. While I was there, I decided I may as well get the gold plated 3/8 ratchet to have. Not sure if it'll get used or if it will just be a shop talking piece lol.

99% of the time I can and do pop tie rod ends, ball joints etc. without a pickle fork, the pickle fork 99% of the time destroys the boots. If you put pressure with a pry bar on the joint trying to pry it apart. The nut backed down to the last 2 or 3 threads on joint. Smack hard with a hammer,( not a little household claw hammer) smack the SIDE!!!, of the junction hard with a decent size hammer while holding a little pressure,the vibration from the hammer blow will pop the joint out. No joke, works better than a pickle fork 99% IMHO even if not talking about saving boots. Talking number of hammer smacks. Pry down 1 good smack done. Vs. Place pickle fork smack,smack again, smack again.
