Container based shop: 2 post lift placement advice?

All the information I can find indicates the containers are 8 feet wide, so I believe a normal width (not dually or big mud tires) square will technically "fit", but it will be tight. I was looking at one to use as a low-cost garage for my much smaller Birtish car project and it would work fine there, but a full size squarebody might be a tight squeeze...

I’ve seen a pic of a GMT400 88-98 fits but squares are a bit wider. At least I know it would fit but not getting out of a door. Back window exit only.

It's gonna be tight tight tight. Pretty sure it's around 7'6" inside one, but I've not measured one in years. Are you a skinny mini?

if the garage / shed like thing is small that you can't open any door and squeeze past....or too old / fat to play dukes of hazzard through windows.

put a wheel stop inside,...overfill tires, and push in by hand. (overfilling tires = easier to push, and they can loose some air if stored for a long time)...

if its an off the ground thing that may settle little from the vehicle being inside, put a wheel chock in the front too.
(maybe reach in through an open window to put something in park/ gear.... or put a mouse trap in a shoe box on the front floor = in a shoe sized box to catch any splatter / funk)

if you can not squeeze in to push the thing back out....tow strap to pull her out.

Will a squarebody fit in a shipping container? Anyone have experience? Can I get out the truck door or is it so tight you have to crawl out the back window?

Looking to store my K10 and K5 in a 40ft container.

I will measure my squares and let you know. My goal has never been to drive these into the container- it's the tool and parts storage + workshop.

You'd have to crawl out the back window, it's TIGHTTT. We shipped one earlier this year, no way you can get a door open and get out. A person can't even fit in between the truck and the walls. I actually got stuck trying to slide between, had to let the air out of the tires on one side to get me out lol

well,...its a suburban,...so you can open the hatch / tailgate, drive it in forwards,... and crawl out.
hopefully without throwing your back out,...or a hernial muscle issue.

that said,..how often do you get hail stones there? (dimes/ quarters ?)

how often do you get an actual ha boob kind of nasty dust storm?

Hailstorms: It happens. We just recently got one that was pretty intense, but did no real damage. Well maybe damaged my roof a little, but my roof was already pretty messed up. If it rained a lot here I'd be in trouble lol. We don't get haboobs or any super crazy dust storms. My vehicles are safe outside.
