Fuel line connections

I'm looking for images of the fuel line connections for the steel lines to the tank on an 81-87 with the single tank. I had pics in my computer but they disappeared. Mine has 3 lines. Can someone help me out please? Thanks

The lines are different sizes,you can't accidently mix them up.

As I recall... The biggest one is supply, the middle one is return, and the smallest one is a vent to the charcoal canister. Hope this helps.

3/8" is supply, 5/16" is the vent, 1/4" is the return

The lines are different sizes,you can't accidently mix them up.

I got them hooked up yesterday. Lesson learned: Never drop the tank to work on it. It's a pain getting it back up and the lines connected.

It's my preferred way. I think it's easy especially compared to removing the bed. But to each their own. Did you get any advice about dropping it and putting it backup? I drop the tank with the brackets filler and all as a unit. I put new long hoses on the tank side with clamps already slid onto the hoses. Go in with an empty tank you push it into place,hold it with 1 knee,start 1 bolt in the front bracket,push the rear up start 1 bolt in the rear bracket. From there it's a cake walk. Pulling the bed takes at least 2 people,maybe a drill,maybe a torch and 8f you have 16 gallon tanks the hoses and senders are under the cab anyway.

I had already drained the tank. It came out easier than it went in. I also did what you said before I got your reply. I put a little longer hoses on the tank then used hose pliers to work them onto the lines, with the tank brackets. The straps LMC sells are junk. One of the threaded parts snapped so I had to make a new one. They seem too short. Tank is up in the truck so should be good to go now.
