@MADDAZ @ADMINISTRATION what Will we see implemented from your list thus far and how long out before the changes come - 2026? DO the improvements mean additional costs?/ how much will those implementations cost for contributing members to the site end up being….

Everything else has been impacted in the last decade - been expecting and waiting on this tbh.
Great questions! So here is where we are at the moment:

No decisions have been made regarding what will be implemented. We are still in the information gathering phase.

That information gathering phase will provide a script to develop a basic action plan that will require Owner approval prior to implementation. The action plan development phase will be when we put together the estimated costs for the project.

The owners will incur expense to implement the site improvements. At this time there is no expectation that this forum will become a subscription site which requires members to pay to use it. Rather, it will remain as-is and members can decide on whether or not they want to contribute funds via Supporting Membership. Impacts to that membership contribution, if any, are yet to be determined.

Once decisions have been made on tasks and costs for site improvements, a schedule will be developed. Timing and completion of individual tasks will be determined. However, I have no idea what the final schedule will look like at this early point of the project. I won't speculate and make a promise that our small team can't keep. As of today, we have the two owners and one business consultant - yours truly, working on the project. That team will grow a bit as other technical experts are needed for the software update and server actions.

Can we do it by the end of 2026? I'm certainly hope we can, but I've been proven wrong before. I must say, however, that the information being provided here by the members is greatly appreciated and will help us immensely to move the project forward.

I know this isn't a hard and fast answer to your questions. However, it's all the information I have at the moment.

Can the max photo file size be updated? I have to screenshot all of my original pictures, crop out the screen bits and then upload. It’s multiple steps, so I don’t post as much anymore.

This is something I ran into when I got my new phone. There's 3 magapixel settings. Only 12m photos can be posted here, the others are too much for the site.

Yep, I can reduce resolution, but it’s something I’d have to switch to, then switch back. I’ll keep the phone in highest res, then screenshot for now when posting here.

Not sure how other forums are, as I only really go here and a Cummins forum with any regularity. The other forum can handle full res, or it automatically resizes when I upload. The latter option would not be difficult for the web developer.

I've been leaving my phone on the 12m setting which kinda sucks because I'd like to have higher quality pictures. But I never really know which photos might get posted here, so 12m it is.

Being able to post the 200m setting sure would be nice, but just being capable of the 50m setting seems like a good compromise of quality/storage.

Maybe this is something that @MADDAZ can fix for us? He's been able to fix a lot of other things so maybe tagging him will bring it to his attention and he can find us a resolution. This issue also resides on Shaggy's other forums so I have a feeling it may be an issue with Xenforo :(

It's on the list of actions we want to take across the network. Thanks for the update!

You are correct in your assumption about this same issue being found at other sites. It's on our action plan for this, and other, Fully Driven sites.

I know it's a stretch but very doable but how about a link to do a GMSB based Zoom meeting when problems or troubleshooting can be discussed in a off-line setting if both parties agree to it?

Oh wow....You know that none of the staff is paid, right? The only one who gets paid is @Shaggy unless he's agreed to pay @Griffin or @MADDAZ for their efforts. Everyone else is volunteer and I'm not sure what problem could ever come up that would require a zoom meeting to discuss the problem :happy175:
