I also vote for restoring frame to original length.

I passed up so many C10s because the owner had hacked the frame.

I never heard of a 3rd tank.
My dad had a 73 surb with 454 and tow package. It had twin tanks...Man, I don't know where you could tuck a 3rd tank in...lol

It would go in the rear of the frame.

On a K or C the third tank would replace the spare tire in the back with a Suburban or K5 tanks. Suburban tanks are around 40 gallons.
