Hi I’m new to this forum but I’m looking to see if anyone has or know someone who has a windshield frame from a 1973-1975 blazer for sale

They are readily available in many areas, but I'm not sure about Cali.

Yeah I’ve been looking for awhile and 1 just popped up the other day but they want way too much. it don’t even have the plates I’m willing to pay shipping if the price for the frame is good

Back in '08 or so, I came across a nice guy on CL that was parting out a '75 K5. I went there to buy a hood and fender, I wound up leaving with the entire front clip and helped arrange a deal to where he sent the windshield frame and fiberglass top to a fellow forum member in Nebraska.

Long story short... that's the last time I came across a full-top K5 getting parted out.

Yeah its looking more and more like I’m gonna have to buy a full truck they’re hard to find cheap tho

Seems like I read somewhere that one of the aftermarket sheet metal companies is now making the pieces, I’m not 100% sure though.

Replacement doors were released within the last year, like $499 ea I believe.

Yeah I seen on LMC they have the windshield frame too but it’s not specific to 1973-1975. I’m gonna try to call and talk to someone on Monday

Anything ‘75 or older in California is worth something… That was the cut off year for SMOG inspection

I’ve heard there is a new law for anything over 35 years but I don’t know of anyone who’s registered one yet to find out.

yeah the law passed but hasn’t been signed yet, anything 1975 and down are pretty expensive over here

I’ve seen those rep frames but they say 1973-80 do you think they’ll have the preps for the top?

Sorry, you missed the windshield frame I sold a year ago along with a full top. You can do What I did, put a pickup cab on the K5 and make a short flatbed.

If you're only going to run a soft top, you can just cap the factory windshield header and put the soft top on it. Check out softopper's instructions for the 73-75 tops and you'll see what I mean. If you want to run a hard top, you'll need the full frame for sure but I suspect that's not your plan.
