Good luck. It's hard enough to find a decent '73-75 Blazer for sale whole, let alone anyone parting one out. They're too valuable now

:welcome:

I think he was worried about that not having the correct "trough"(?) that a hard top uses on a 73-75.

its the inner panel that welds to the top of the windshield that is different on the full roofs, compared to the hard tops. The panel is repro'ed for the 69-72 gen, but I have not seen one for the 73-76 yet.
If you are keen you could make a fibreglass cap off the existing roof, like a carson top. As it would be in 2x pieces it would actually be a lot easier to remove, as they are heavy. You could even leave the "hoop" in, which would be a big improvement structurally, although I like the fully open look.
The doors are easy, as they are just stock doors with the top cut off and rubber plugs installed. I'm pretty sure the plugs are repro'ed.
Biggest issue will be re-inforcing the floor, there were 3 panels that bolted under the floor on either side to create a box section to strengthen the rocker ( stops the door gap collapsing when opening the door ). Pics are available through repro parts books, and they are straightforward to fab.
Post pics !!..

Yeah that’s the panel I need that’s why I haven’t pulled the trigger on the repo ones, the truck is in the shop right now getting digital Dakotas, vintage air and a new painless harness. With the kids in baseball and ballet I had no time to get it done by car show season. But this is something I wanna do, not have to do. but if I find that frame it will be done hahhaha. I’ve been looking and I found a couple of blazers that are toast so I’ve been workin on the owner to get it cheap enough to chop it up but I’m still looking a couple grand. That way I can get everything it might almost just be the way to go.

Maybe just do the top chop and put a soft top on the stock frame while you look for a soft top specific frame? You don't really lose anything other than the labor involved in capping the windshield frame and you get a full convertible now rather than later or maybe never.

Good point @Blazerbiker the soft top attaches to a snap strip installed on the skin above the windshield, I don't believe it uses any of the factory channel that the hard top locks in to.
