I'd check into making sure it worked too. I forget what issue Retro ran into on a truck and couldn't use it when he thought he could. I forget now what that issue was.

From what I remember it's something about the splines on the box but I could be wrong....

I scored a free 2wd SM465 recently. Best part is, it has the aluminum top cover and a new shifter for less dump truck like shifting. Not what I was looking for, but better than the th350 with slipping reverse.

That should be interesting :hmm: I'm not sure I've heard of that before. I'd always assumed it was made to adhere to metal. I guess we will find out

my step side has a rhino liner from PO on top of the wood, now I dont know when it was put on but the wood underneath is real weak and rotted, (way too flexible) but it does seem to be holding up well as far as sticking to the wood.

Thanks, i just finished painting it now. Its nice having access to a sand blaster. I won't be able to use it on the lowers though because they are to big to sneak in work lol. Im going to pick up a wire brush for those....

May I ask why? The nice thing about the wood floor is it has a lot of the same characteristics of a spray-in liner already.

Ehh I'm not sure about that, but I think I'd also reconsider. The wood bed does certainly add charachter. I could see doing the bed walls, and the strips though. And the fender wells if it's a Fleetside bed. I just think I'd leave the wood OEM.

What kind of wood is it? I love the wood that was used in the early 60's. I'd just that some good thick clear that's resistant to water and UV. The Sun destroys the wood almost as bad as water.
