eh I didn't have anything to make one out of. They got me on that one though it's like $2.59 at advance and autozone. Those bastards. It's always that way though, I paid over $100 for the dist. and I could have got one off ebay from skip white for less then $60 or so.

I know who to ask about this, His name is Jim Shultz. He's one of my childhood friends dad and my dads buddy for a number of years. Right now he's teaching at some performance trade school in Phoenix, he is in charge of the late model performance section of the school. He said He has 2 dyno's he is in charge of and a handfull of late model cars that were donated from manufacturers, he said Patrick Swayze donated a new GT500 because his son went to the school.

If anyone knows the answer to this question It will be Jim.

Even if they were 10, and may have been, I would make a home made one out of gasket sheet before I blew 10 bucks on one.

Just whittle you one out of a 2x6 and call it good. Let us know how it does. !!! :roflbow::roflbow:

2 fun facts about that movie, John voight is Angolena Jolie's dad and #2 is.. that was the first time Ed Oniel (Al Bundy) was ever on camera. He has one line at the very end!

Here's the man I talked to, his son Eric and if I remember right, thats his car. I kinda remember it from back in the day but it was purple.

Here is his response about the throttle body spacer.

"A throttle body spacer is used to store more air in the plenium for better throttle response. Really not needed for your friends application!"

That makes sense, its just a little bit more mass for quick response when you crack the throttle wide open. once the air is flowing through its not doing anything.

I'll agree with that. Now if you had some other mods to go along with it and needed it for some purpose then It MIGHT do some good, but for a stocker, I don't see it happening. Kinda like bolting on a 750 carb on a stock motor. I know that's a bad example but point is, the resources aren't there to take advantae of what you think you might gain.

 Can you imagine bolting a wooden anything on to your motor?? It's bad enough to have a vehicle with wood paneling on the side let alone on the motor :laughing1:

can't be too bad if they're available specifically for this application...
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-31520001/?rtype=10

or the other 117 products made out of wood summit offers.
http://www.summitracing.com/search/Department/Air-Fuel-Delivery/?keyword=phenolic

the wood doesn't dissipate heat like a steel or aluminum spacer would.
