I dunno, I think I'd rather have more power over functioning keyless entry. But that's just me.

The keyless programming and the tune were not related. The keyless is operated by the passenger door control module. The programming to the ECM was to correct the stored VIN to match the year, make and model. I don't notice a huge loss of power or anything by any means. I could be full of crap about a possible tune as well it just seems to run a bit different than it did. Its not a pooch or anything just seems to have better drivability manners. I'm happy.

Sounds like the original PCM took a dump and a similar one was sourced from a yard. At least is better now.

figured I should update this thread. So far this has started to act like a reliable ride for me. I still need to address the crappy body repair to the rear quarter as well as the hood and get her rust proofed. Body shop estimate is $1600.00 so I am contemplating doing it myself but I don't much feel like it. I also need to address the rear brakes including the backing plates and parking brake. The drivers seat bottom leather also needs replaced. After that install some mud flaps and window ventshades. From there I would like a mild tune. Just enough to change the shift points and add a mild amount of power. Exhaust would be a nice adder too but its hard to cut off a perfectly good system.

Home from the body shop. New hood installed and rear quarter fixed. Got rust proofing oozing out everywhere! Just waiting on my new rear bumper face bar to show up from Rock Auto so I can put it together and back on. I had the trailer hitch and all the bumper brackets blasted and got the last of two primer coats and four cover coats on them. Almost ready fir a summer of pulling the boat all over the state.

I ordered up a drivers seat bottom and the foam pad as well as an arm rest cover from the seat shop off amazon. Can't wait to get them installed! The drivers seat is worn from getting in and out.

Yes it will. The seats still sits good but I figured since I will have the cover off I might as well replace the pad.

This thing is looking nice, George! It's just begging for a 2500 truck hood, IMO. :D

Spent some time on it today since it wasnt ideal for fishing. Got my splash gaurds installed and patched the wheel well liners with some pieces of another liner I found in the ditch. I also replaced the leather seat bottom. That was easy as pie and turned out great!
