NO. 2 different products. I think the PVC will break if you opened it up far enough to get it over the striker.

I did this on 2 squares and it works great! Have to drive them on over the shoulder of the striker pin, and maybe shave a little bit of debris that might get raked loose from driving it over the shoulder but otherwise the ones I did this to the doors close great!
