89S 350 TBI Head Gasket Replacement Project

I figure he's either in a hairball with the manifolds, cursing extremely loudly, hit his head on...SOMETHING, and/or busted 6 out of 10 knuckles so far lol.

no doubt the worst part of that whole job is dealing with the exhaust, the rest of it is pretty straight forward but rusty exhaust can ruin the day

I left work a little early and busted my ass until dark. Got it stripped down to the heads with the exhaust manifolds still on. And about half the rocker arms loosened off the push rods. When it got to dark, I called it quits, and my brother let me take his 01 Chevy truck to tow the boat to the river to relax and have a few cold ones. I got some great pics for yous guyz I will post when I get home tonight.

I am starting to get a bad vibe about the exhaust manifolds not moving out of the way enough, but I will see what happens tomorrow. I know I am not even over the hump yet but I will be going apeshit tomorrow to get this done.

No turning back now !!! Didn't you replace those intake manifold gaskets not long ago??? Those gaskets look like hell for a recent change. I would not be using that brand ever again if I were you.
Or is it possibe that stop leak junk you used damaged the gaskets? Any signs of clogged up junk or damage so far from the Head Gasket repair in a bottle?

i am sure you already know, but just remember you get your tv cable adjusted right for your transmission after having it unhooked, a suburban the same paint scheme as yours went by the shop yesterday, but i can tell you weren';t in camp hill yesterday

nice work man, make sure you blow thru check all of those vac. hoses those plastic ones are bad for cracks and pin holes, if it were me and I had the cash I'd replace them all with rubber hoses.
