I got a seep at the thermostat gasket and the motor is still throwing antifreeze smoke out the exhaust, so in a nutshell it was a total waste of my time, but at least it entertained my buddies here.

And some of the tips and pics I posted hopefully will help somebody else who never did this before, like the bolt locations and socket sizes and ****, ya know?

oh yea it should help but is there a chance your oil has collant in it and its burning off? I would have done an oil change after taking the intake off. Also as for maybe still leaking that does suck since all you would have had to do was jerk the heads off and do head gaskets. UNless the block or head is cracked. I think you can find that out with a leak down or compression test. Buy you some bars leaks or bardahl head gasket repair or block seal or something and throw it in there.

Yah, I'll throw some sealer in and I am going to get a price from my mechanic for new head gasket replacement and see what the damage will be. If it is worth it I will pay him to do it, but if not, I'll run it and get it inspected and sell the fukin thing for 500 bucks and get a different SB and start all over again....

No, I got the guage in the truck but I haven't had time to do it. And I still have two body panels to install on my next free Sunday in 2 weeks because inspection is up the end of Feb. If I have time that weekend I will comp test it and post the results. You figure I would feel a miss with a cylinder leak, this thing runs smooth as ****.

Well, I've had ***** that look smooth but squeezing them out was a chore.

Anyway, get that done, post results. We'll go from there. When you shook out the antifreeze from the intake, did you notice if any of it came out of the combustion ports?

I'll pay somebody to pull the heads before I do it, phuk that ****. That's too much for me to knock out in one day by myself. I'm still recovering from the manifold thing. That hanging in the engine compartment ******** is not for me. If one of yins lived close and gave me a hand I might go for it. I'll do the comp test when I get the time and I will post the report and see what ya's think I should do. And I am gonna call my mech tomorrow for a quote on doing the head gaskets. He usually takes care of me with repairs I can't do. After all, he gets all my truck business thru me beings as I am the dispatcher so he hooks me up. :evillol:

@ Old, I don't want to get rid of her, I am just overwhelmed right now and got to take a break and clear my mind brotha. :High 5:

I think my mech told me, now that I am thinking of it, he said he can try doing a block seal with some kind of chemical/ceramic ****. He has to drain the coolant and let the block dry out overnight and run some kind of ceramic sealer **** through it, I'll talk to him in the morning and let ya's know...
