yep and that's a pretty critical area. I had no cash for another tbi intake though, honestly I figured by now or the time it screws up I'd have a carb on it.

My old man loves it though, good mileage compared to his 84. he's had it all winter and his truck is in my yard.

i was gonna say if it don't work you're only out a few bucks, and you can just get another intake. anything from 87-95 should work for you, 305 or 350.

You know what I need. I put those new gaskets on the valve covers, anD the pass side is still leaking like a sive out of the back. I think the cover is warped or some ****. So I don't know if I should take it apart and goop it or get a new cover??? ****!!!!!!!

take it off and flatten it out. then when you put it back on clean it and the head off really good with brake kleen or something and then rtv it real good if you have doubts and throw it on, but don't run or start the thing for about 24 hours give it time to dry good.

yea the heads on my truck casting come up to be 87-95 so the four center bolts angles would be right and as long as it's tbi you should be fine.

Just don't put it on wrong like the idiot I got my Li'l Blazer from.

I wondered why I had 160 PSI with the valve cover off and 0 PSI with it on...They managed to mangle the brackets and it was keeping the intake valves open and the exhaust valves closed.

But getting it for $400 and a $5 valve cover fixing it rocks...

I have to admit, the center bolt valve covers are new territory for me. I don;t know what to look for on those goofy things. Standard lip bolted valve covers were easy, just look at the bottom for straightness.

I know you've already gotten feedback on the valve covers and trying to tweak your existing covers is probably the most prudent way to go but how much are new valve covers? You can probably find some reasonable priced chrome ones online and snazzy it up a bit :D

The flange itself looks fine, I think it is the phukin things on the inside that the bolts go through. That thing layed nice and flat on the table and I cleaned the groove for the gasket and the surface of the head thoroughly. I'll have to shop around.
