I know i am the forth owner of my 82. It was bought brand new in 82 at Bergey's Chevy in Landale. It was traded in a year later where the Owner of 4x4 Performance in Northwales bought it. Thats when the truck went to crap between 83 and 01. My friend Ron bought it in 01 restored it put the dump bed on it and then sold it to me on January 22 2007.

I wonder if when it was restored before if a cab swap was done and therefore a different VIN?? :hmm:

It is very possible. I was hoping it would tell me more about my truck, but it didnt say much.

I know this is old, but it's a neat thread!

Mine gets rejected by all the decoders, but I was able to manually pull it.

Apparently it says I have an 82 4x2 w/ a 6.2L diesel, but what's kind of neat is it was built in Janesville, WI! Not sure if the cab was swapped at some point, which it may have been since the bed and front end were. lol

Kind of neat, though! It's now a 4x4 with a 350TBI and 90 Burb front end. Will check the RPOs if the sticker is still there, but I guess if the cab was switched, it may not be the original info anyways. We shall see. :)
