This is a Silverado 1976 c10 short bed in fair, non-running condition. Parked 6 years ago after putting in rebuilt engine and turbo 400 trans. Original 454 chassis but now a 350. Body is okay, minimal rust but it likely

76 shortbed ? Of course it is. Original 454 means it should have a 12 bolt rear. Added bonus.

Radiohead is right, I am in California as well, if it won’t smog you are screwed. Also unless it had a non-op you will be paying back registration.

Can you see the RPO sticker inside the glove box? Having a 454 and TH400 as original in a short bed half ton sounds like a really unusual combination. Maybe they had a sport truck version, but most short beds were light duty run-around vehicles with an SBC.

Can't say about that side of the country, but in the land of rust, that's a killer deal.

Big block shortbed trucks were not rare, but definitely uncommon compared to total production.

All '76 half tons got a 12 bolt rear, regardless of engine.

Go for it, depending where, you are in California. I have oem parts for 350. And a complete motor with all the brackets. The only thing I don't have is the vapor canister, smog wise. Mine is a 73 smog not required and I installed a 5.3 LM7.

Like others said $2500 is a steal if it is in good shape. You can get it running.

And Welcome to the site, Norcal Redding area.
