So I mistakenly ordered the wrong wiper/turn signal stalk for my 87 Custom Deluxe, which needed a new stalk due to the old plastic being brittle and breaking. Truck has cruise but no intermittent wipers. I ordered the stalk for cruise with intermittent wipers. Are the plugs the same, so I can use this new part (just won't do anything if put it in the delay setting)? Turn signal switch decided to break so it's time to pull the steering wheel and do it all at once.

Anybody used any of the replacement turn signal switches from Rock Auto (United, Wells, Rostra, Standard)? They range in price greatly - from $12-$45

My base model 84 Sierra has the Chrone one with wipers and wash only but replacements aren't available. The black one I got doesn't work

I think if it will plug in and turn normally you will be OK. You should be able to pull the stalk out when the wiper switch is in the Off position without column disassembly.

If the new one plugs in it will of course not be accurate as far as the Low and High speed labelling.
