So I got the 84 running and now it's time for tires. I Had some 265/75/16 from the last time I put tires on the Z-71 I put on the 84's rims. The 265s fit well but are close to racing slicks. I have got a coworker that is about to scrap a truck and offered me the 285's with about 75% tread off it, but before I take him up I would like to know if they will fit on the stock truck. Thanks

285's are 33's and those fit a stock k10 on 15x7 or 15x8 rallys so yes they most definately should fit unless it's just completely worn out well over sagging springs and such.

If/when you get them on the truck, post pics if you will. I have been trying to figure out which size tire I want to run on my '79 K20.

Sorry Green He backed out on me, I ended going with the stock 235/85/16. I picked up 2 that hardly have the nubbies wore and the other 2 are at 75% I paid $75 for the four they are more of street tires than what I wanted but I just couldn't pass then up for that price. Sure helps out on the budget.
