And is there any reason it won't fit my 81? That billet one has to go!

That's an 85-88 Grille and will fit fine on 81-91 Squares.

It will not fit a miniquad square. Not sure about Cheyenne/Sierra SL.

So you're saying it won't fit some 89-91's? WTH? Is the core support different then?

You're still OK, it will fit all 81-88's for sure and it is a 85-88 grill.

Sure glad I found out that before I did a mini quad conversion. That would suck to find a mini quad grill and lights, but then couldn't use it.

I got all the mini quad headlight parts off the '89. I'll be over with the beer, self tappers, duct tape, silicone, tie wire and the BFH. Well get that set up for ya man.

Not quite as good as Silvy though. No chipped paint on the hood and no new turn signals. :waytogo:

to add to the discussion

I have a 1984 Chevy K20 pickup truck with single headlights. I want to convert to dual headlights with the 1987 style grille. I know I will have to get a new core support but what about the grille and the bezels? will the 1987 style grille and bezels fit? any information is helpful. Thanks. Sean

If you're talking about 87 for certain, then NO you will NOT have to get a new core support. 84-88 are the same grills and use the same core support as 81-88 in both single or dual to the best of my knowledge.

Is it possible you're actually talking about the 89-91 Mini Quad side by side dual headlight grill? If so, then yes, you will have to change the core support also.
