I don't have a ton of money and just lost a quarter tank overnight into the grass. :( So I put a bucket under it to catch as much as I can.

Help! It wont let me post in the wanted section yet.

Auto Zone has them with the ring for $125 so are there any cheaper?

That's about the going price. Ordering online would kill it from the cost of shipping. Here in Charleston we have D.A.R. collision repair, they sell them. You might want to give them a call and just see what they're going for.

If you can get to the leak and clean it bondo will seal it up and give you time to search the junkyards for a decent replacement.

I wonder if that Flexseal stuff you see on tv will hold up to gas? Hmm...

My bro-in-law tried Flexseal on his gutter and still had a leak, so I dont think i'm going to try it on my gas tank.

Flexseal looks an awful lot like renamed rubberized undercoating. I used the bondo on the fuel tank of an 80's celebrity that I had in high school, paid $25 for the car so when the pinholes all along the seem showed up I wasn't going to spend more for a tank then I paid for the car. JB weld probably would have worked but I already had the bondo and I cleaned all the seem and rust spots with a wire brush on a grinder and covered all the seems and spots to prevent future rust though. I drove the car for another year after and gave the car to a friend that I owed 20 bucks to and he drove it for another 2 years when the rear axle mounts rusted through and it fell off.

Was talking to a guy at work.and he said use fiberglass resin. Gas wont eat thru it. And he used it on his tank before when he ran over a piece of exhaust and it punctured his tank.
