The Ranger gear splitter is still available thru advance adapters. They are out of stock right now but said they could build one in 5 to 10 days. .27 overdrive( I believe thats right) and about 1550.00. Almost half of Gear vendors. Only downfall is shifter moves back 7.5 inches.I am looking at one of these for my K30

You could do a NV4500 swap for about the same money. Then you wouldn't have to move your shifter back.

Have you priced out the parts to put a nv4500 in a truck?I haven't researched in depth but... a quick check of advance adapters says the kit to put one in a k30 like ours is about 1,000.00 dollars plus a used trans 750.00 to a 1,000.00 . Do you have to modify drive shafts then? Not wanting to be argumentative...I also want the cheapest overdrive possible !It may be cheaper to put in a 2wd I don't know. The more we talk and find info the cheaper it will be , right?

I wouldn't buy the kit from advance adapters, I would switch over to hydro clutch ($150-$200) and then get a NV4500 from a 92 or 93 with a MT8 RPO code (has the low first gear). I think you could do the entire swap for a little under a $1000. That beats $1550 plus labor and Wouldn't you have to modify your driveshaft anyway

Find a Saginaw 3 speed with a Warner OD, last made in 67, A little wiring and a push/pull control wire and you are good to go. I don't think you even have to shorten the drive shaft. I drove one for about 20 years and wish I'd have kept that trans for my new ride.
