I had a "dish washer" in my shop down town. Maybe a bit bigger than yours, any big block that you wanted clean you could do it. Very handy.....I miss it A LOT. Always used "aluminum safe" detergent in it...kept me out of discoloring any aftermarket manifolds, wheels, etc......and it got HOT!!!

My dad worked with a guy that was in the Air Guard who had access to the equipment for calibration. Every year or two he would take Dad’s wrench and calibrate it.

Dad has been retired for some time now and decided to mail his Snap-On torque wrench in for calibration. They returned it saying they can’t calibrate it because it’s too old and needs parts. No offer for replacement or even a discount on a new wrench
Thought Snap-On was a guaranteed for life deal??? I always enjoyed the Craftsman lifetime warranty.

Not everything is. Wear items often aren't covered, but a lot depends on your specific dealer. Some drivers will warranty anything and everything that they can possibly get away with, because they realize that customer satisfaction is good business. But some drivers don't really seem to care and they just want you to buy more stuff.

Snap on is gauranteed for life to the original owner against defects, not Normal wear and tear,or abuse. I also ran into this at Sears coincidently with a Torque wrench also. They told me there was nothing wrong with it on their end I had worn in it out. I was piXXed,but I'm over it now. I think for the most part Craftsman and SnapOn warranty a lot of stuff they don't have to. I'm sure I've abused some stuff and turned it in for warranty, and most of my Snap On stuff I bought used.

Yeah, most drivers don't care who bought the tool. In the days of Sears Craftsman, they didn't seem to ever care either. Some drivers don't care how the tool got broke, they will warranty it. Just like Sears Craftsman.

Made a tool this morning to hold the lifters/pushrods as I take the engine apart, that way if I get in there and don’t see something that I like, I can just put it back. Or, if the cam is big enough that I decide to keep it and keep going.

I don’t know why I waited so long to get a wireless backup camera. It’s great for transferring from trailer to trailer. Also a timesaver at the property as the jeep doesn’t typically need a backup camera for
Obvious reasons, but it does serve as a trailer tug at home.

I ordered a Gearwrench torque wrench this morning to take advantage of the deals. Amazon (as much as I don’t like ordering there) had much better deals going on than the local box stores.

My stuff is all SK and there used to be one shop here that carried their stuff, but they closed during the bug and never reopened so no idea where I'd warranty anything, not that I've needed to in the past 25 plus years.

I have a LOT of S-K and unfortunately, they've had financial problems on and off for a long time. They're currently owned by a Chinese tool company and apparently they still honor the warranty.

I'm not fond of them being owned by a Chinese company, but just like Shop-Vac, better Red than dead.

I've never had to have any of my stuff repaired or replaced so far, fingers crossed I don't have to.

About 5 years ago I started to buy used SK stuff on 'that auction site'. The majority of the stuff is 'SK Wayne'. Prices were really good.

Forgot I picked up a Craftsman socket set recently for work (company paid for it), so I didn't have to cart my stuff back and forth haven't had any complaints other than the laser etched on sizes are a pain to see.

When I was a kid in Colorado, a Western Forge plant was about a mile away. We could almost always hear the forges forging. At that time, WF was making Craftsman tools. In junior high and high school, Western Forge donated two super duper burly complete Craftsman mechanics tool sets to our Jr high and six of the same to the high school auto shops. My in the truck tool kit is mostly Craftsman I bought in the early 90's. My SK stuff is at my desert hovel.
