Looks like a Dayton.

Looks like someone gave it the onions to split the daisy wheel in two.

Yeah, Dayton 3 ton. I saw it broke on the auction site and figured I would just get a new one cut out of a fork lift lumber fork using the upper part that doesn't taper. One of my customers has a water jet that should make short work of that.

I am looking for a Dake or other name brand electric over hydraulic press for the shop. We have this one at work and it is just so nice, no more bouncing the handle up and down a thousand times every time you need to press something. 2 minutes and your done and onto your next task.

And I had mis-spoke, I thought both were Prentiss (shows how much I looked at them before buying), this one is a Reed, 404½. 4½" jaw.

I already used the spring loaded one for weatherpack connectors. It's awesome.

No picture (I know, evil) but I picked up an exhaust sizing mandrel thingie at NAPA to size and true up all the 3" exhaust pipe connections.

I'll get a picture next trip out to the tool truck.

Picked up one of the fancy hydraulic flaring tools with some 37⁰ AN dies, have always used the OG screw style for decades, so this is a nice change. Tried a generic amazon brand and that one sucked bad! This one gets the job done so far.

Bought one of those years ago when they first came out, I put it under the cool tool gotta have!!! I figured it will help me finish the Impala with brake line fuel lines . I bought the 37° JIC AN fittings adapters also.

Maybe I'm being pedantic, maybe not. On the front it says this

But on back it says this

So which is it - will it expand pipe or not?
See my confusion?

Don't worry, I'll make it expand some pipe. Just enough for a good slip fit. I may just clamp up the whole thing, I may weld it. I need to clean up the end on one of the mufflers back to circular and then make some slip joints for the assembly.

At least that's the plan.

I have one of them... i have expanded pipes with it but also broke the bricks that push out so.... i bought it to open the clamp ring so i could reuse muffs and pipes after using a regular exhaust clamp. Since then ive switched to band clamps instead.

Noted. Maybe it will go back for something a little more robust

Turn a reciever hitch ball sideways in the reciever. Use the ball as an anvil and use a hammer to expand the pipe. Like a train flattens a penny smack the pipe a few times in on one spot, rotate the pipe and smack it some more.

I can try that. I have a 2 5/16 ball on a stinger not doing anything. I also have one of those pipe fixer upper gizmos with three rollers in a triangle with a handle screw that sets the diameter I could use to roll out the one end of the muffler that has the ding in its end. There are options. I wanted to be able to open the ends of pipe just to the others O.D. for slip fit without going the hydraulic expander route.

Or go like 78 C10bigten did with band clamps. Welding seems to be optimum so I guess it will end up how it ends up when the time comes.

Good idea Ricko, thanks!
