What is this bracket? Off an '83 6.2

I tore everything apart to rebuild my engine and paint it, but when I put it back together I had this left over and no idea where it goes. Guess I should have taken more pictures. All I know is it came off the truck somewhere, and I'm pretty sure it came off the engine but I could be wrong. Hope it isn't too critical...

Looks like it could be a starter bracket. Do you have one on yours? 6.2s crack blocks without them. Aren't you having a starter problem also?

I'd say it goes on the brake master cylinder for hydroboost applications.

The tab supports a clip which retains the hydroboost hoses.
