I'm swapping a 1991 700R4 into my 73 GMC C25 2wd that had a 4speed. I have no idea what TV cable to get, look for, or what other application to look up. Any suggestions?

You should be able to find a universal cable for it. They can be adjusted to fit just about any application. You'll need to make sure you have proper geometry at the throttle rotor though. Check out Bowtieoverdrive, they have a lot of good information about 700R4 TV cable geometry and setup, and will sell you a kit if you just want to take the easy path (though it is pricey!)

Do you know what carburetor you have? Look up bowtie overdrive TV made ez kits. They include everything you need an are honestly the best bang for the buck. I used one when I converted mine an I'd use them again if needed....

I have a Eddy 1406...I've seen some brakets you can get for them that you bolt to the throttle bracket so you have the correct geometry. I've found a TV cable from Monster Transmission that should work. I just wasnt sure if I had to have something specific. I see now that I dont. Thanks guys!

I have the 1406 on mine to so they have a kit specific for it. I know they are expensive but its worth it man. They will even go over all your pressures with you after the install so you know its setup right.

I check'd them out and see the kit you are talking about, woo we it is a lil pricey for a carb base plate bracket a lil hardware and a cable...BUT, it does seem like it would simplify the install.
