The trans hump bolts on, but under the seat is another smaller hump made for the t-case. It is formed into the floor board.

I've seen more that DON'T bolt on that I have seen that DO bolt on. Do you know what decides if it you get a bolt on or not? I am fairly certian, neither of my 4x4's have a bolt on hump. Both are 85, both were OEM 700r4 trans.

Automatics don't need the bolt on hump, since they don't need to access the top loader like the SM465. All Ks have the small hump under the seat for the t-case though.

Sometime in the early 80's they ditched the nifty bolt-on tranny hump. I'm not sure, but I think all manuals or 4x4s had bolt-in humps in the 70's.

It really sucks they went away from that. They sould have made all the trucks that way. I really like that feature. My 62 and 64 trucks had bolt on humps.

That would be a great chassis for me to transfer my C20 Silverado to.

Hmmm...Blackdog needs the body, you need the chassis...

Yep, that's exactly right. He could keep the cab, Vin # and tag. Sure wish I had a few bucks and he was closer.
