hey guys... I am trying to make points with the wife (happy wife happy life :) ) and get the lights in her vanity mirror working again so I am looking for a pic of the vanity mirror wiring or a diagram for a 1991 GMC Suburban v1500. I replaced the bulbs and no luck so I removed it and was looking at the wiring on the backside and one of the wires popped off and not being electrical minded I don't know where the loose wire connects to...

I just had mine out making a repair to the contacts of the mirror cover switch. if you post a Pic, it might jog my memory....there were only 2 wires with spade connectors....

apologies for the delayed response, was helping my niece and replacing her backup cam last night, thank you for offering the help Glen...

here is the mirror... one wire is black and the other is brown

I don't understand why the spade connectors aren't soldered on or a positive click type so they don't just pop off without any warning! o_O

if i remember right, one wire was close to the contact switch and one was in the middle. kind of like the attached. the system is always hot, and the switch completes the ground, if I remember right.

the issue with mine was the little plastic nubs thst hold the contact for the switch broke off. luckily I found the contact piece floating around in the visor and used a couple very small screws to put it back and make it work.

if you can't figure it out from here, I can take mine off again and take a quick Pic for you.
