Default Vacuum fitting and steel line needed.
I have the complete steel brake booster line, intake bracket, rubber hose, black plastic air filter/booster and check valve. Do you need everything or just part? I would have to check on the trans/canister fitting. Let me know. Thanks, Bob.

I probably need everything.
The way the PO has it hooked up now makes me wonder what he did wrong and what parts are bad, the brake pedal is real hard. I like a pedal with very little travel, but it shouldn't feel like a rock. And I don't think the booster itself is full of brake fluid but I will check that out too.
He plumbed the booster into the manifold where the tree is supposed to go.
In theory it should have sufficient vacuum to work properly.
I figure if I set it up the way it is on my other truck it should work properly.
The wrecking yard here is a joke, they don't get many trucks with parts worth using, especially 4x4 parts.

I made a run to the big city today for brake parts for the 83, and I swung by u-pick-it with a long list of little things I wanted/needed for both the 83 and 84.
I was able to find the fitting I need and the line with check valve.
Their prices aren't that great, and I hate the two dollar admission charge just to get in.
I don't think I will be making many more trips back there.

i freaking love those places. get alot of hard to find stuff if you get lucky and pay hardly anything for it.
