Upgrading to a 16197427 PCM, got chip questions

Ok so I am swapping my entire wiring harness out with a 1994 harness and PCM when I pull the motor to drop in a 4L60e. I keep gathering PCMs with different chip codes when im at the salvage yard, only charge me $10. I am having a hard time finding the information on the internet that defines what each of these are. All are on a 16197427 PCM, I know this maybe the wrong website to be asking this lol

I should add I need 1994 BC thats the year of the transmission.

BJLF is for 3.08 & 3.42 and BJLH is for 3.42 and 3.73. So I'd go with what gear you have, I don't know which one will be for 4.10 or above if you have those.

Ya i have 4.10s. Ill keep an eye out for a BJLH atleast to keep the gears closer.

You may be able to use that 95 year model unit. Talk to someone that burns chips and see if they can tune out the PWM for the 4L60-E. For that matter, why don't you just pick one, plug it in, and get it tuned.

Someone else may concur or deny, but IIRC, it's only about $85 to have a chipped tuned and burned. I know some places are better than others. Now the other thing I'm not positive about, is if the OBD1 chips are as tuneable as the OBDll chips?

And can you have it tuned like many guys do on the later models with the Tow/Haul switch in the end of the shifter stick to where Tow/Haul mode becomes HaulAss mode. In short, you have 2 tunes in 1. Econo Tune and Performance tune options just by hitting the switch. I doubt there's much you can really do with the TBI, so it would likely be just one tune, but being 4L60-E, you could at least have 2 different transmission modes. One be your normal driving, and one being with the shift points drug out a bit and shifts firmed up. Just suggestions there, cuz I really don't know about the OBD1 and chip tuning much at all. But, I am fairly certain you can just get your PROM chip programmed to what you have rather than spending countless hours in a junkyard looking for codes and paying $10 each time you buy one.

Finally got the truck back together, still need to get the proper prom for my setup. Anyone have a burner to suggest that's fair priced? I have chips I can mail them.
