Great Trans nxt !!! Mad Dog Transmissions are good. I actually have learned some of my tricks and upgrades from him. He's a biggo ugly dude, must be where he gets his name Mad Dog. But he does know transmissions.

Cool....:High 5:....That's good to know. I've never heard of them before, so I was wondering....

They have several different levels to choose from, but maybe we can talk HRPC into doing a few transmissions next summer with a gmsquarebody.com "group-buy"...........:roflbow:

LMAO, no joke. We'll have a GMSB get together at my dad 160 acres of property, install some transmissions, and get some trucks dirty !!! We almost did it one year. Started planning about 8 months in advance and a Mod broke up that party for us when he banned me for getting in his ass for belittling members. So I while I was banned for a week, I went to another forum and took about 70 people with me. That forum sucks now. I'll say again, its the people that a make a forum good.

Cl does suck for wv, they have nothing.

As for my th350's love em, hate 700r4's nothing but trouble out of them, never had a good one, hate the tv cables, they never got set right, even if I went one click at a time it was either too tight or too loose, and they say to slide them back and then mash the gas several times and it'll do it for you, NO never done **** for me. it wouldn't even move.

I hate the steep 1st to 2nd gear change, the wide ratio as described.

We hardly ever hit the highway,

Around here it's hills and stop and go, too much up and down, no real need for od or lock up.

I also always got crap gear ratios with them, 2.73's and 3.08, if I had a 4.10 or 4.56 and od that'd be nice I bet. Not to mention both were 4x4 and had over sized tires, dad's 86 had the 3.08's and my 88 has 3.42's and had 265/75 16's and it still sucked. I guess it's just us, we like alot of gear, now on the highway, everyday, loud mufflers, lower rpm works well.

I agree, sounds like you need to stay T350's with the hills etc. And yep, with hills, you will sure notice the wide ratio between 1st and 2nd. There is a company that sells a differant planetary set to correct that. Its got like a T350 1st gear and 2nd is a little closer too. But its like $800 for that planetary set.
