It is a tilt column for an automatic and I am swapping it into my 82.
The rod that runs down the outside of the shaft to the white plastic switch is not connected inside of the column so I am taking it apart to reconnect it. I can't get the housing off.
Notice the key assembly does not use a screw to hold it in place but rather has a spring loaded tang. The shaft at the bottom is splined and has a single notch on one side.
With minor mods it will pop right in but I have to get it apart to reattach the rod first.
