I have watched this thread over the last few years and finally have a truck to post about. Still trying to figure out how to navigate and search so bare with me.
My truck is a 1980 c20 3+3 Camper special. Me and the truck have a history that I will detail below.
This truck was my dads that he got used sometime in the mid 80's I believe. It was just a stock c20 with a 454. He then turned it into the truck that it is today (profile pic). Unfortunately my dad passed away right before I turned 4. My mom kept it for a couple of years and then sold it. Fast forward about 10 years and the guy that bought the truck still had it. Once I knew who had the truck and had kept it exactly how it was I started the negotiations. Problem is this took 6 years. But I finally have my dads truck back in all it glory. The truck is the only tangible memory I have I'm now trying to figure out the steps to stop the rusting and get it running again.
Very long post but hope to have a build thread soon and get everybody's advice. Thanks!
