Hey Folks,
Just a quick note on something that has proven really helpful for me: A portable medical suction unit.
I got this one because it has some issues that prevent it from being used for medical purposes any more. It has a dial control for the amount of suction (in mmHg) and tops out in excess of 500 (20 inHg).
I've used it for testing vacuum pots, vacuum circuits (looking for leaks), and for pulling fluids out of devices with inconvenient or non-existent drain holes. First use was pulling the old oil out of my lawnmower prior to a change.
Haven't tried it yet, but it might be handy for brake bleeds as well.
Keep an eye out for discards from Fire Departments or EMS agencies.
