Timing issue

Your timing is off and probably too much gas. If you think you've got timing in the ballpark try leaning it out. Screw the air fuel mixture screws in one at a time until the idle drops off. Then start turning the opposite direction (outward) untill the idle/rpm doesn't get any higher. Do that to each and you should be at the lowest leanest acceptable setting. From that point try reving it and see if it pops. If it does your timing is still off or you are likely leaking gas down from the well plugs. If it stopped popping you might turn the screws out another 1-1/2 turns and see how it revs. Then take it down the road under a load and see if it still pops or is better.
