Great suggestions. Good shops in anything in my area are very hard to find. Most won't even work on an older vehicle period. Some of the few that do charge outrageous prices. Fortunately I can do most of the work myself although mounting and balancing tires I cannot do as I don't have the equipment. Most if not all the tire shops in my area will go by the computer and can't think out of the box on anything. I can't find a shop in town to align my truck as the specs are not on the computer. I had to do it myself using string.
The stick on weights might clear the caliper- although they would have to be pretty thin- no more than 1/16" thick. 1/8" won't clear the calipers. Everything is stock on the truck. The original tie rod ends were so much smaller than the replacements- 1/8- 1/4" smaller at least. I even looked at different brand tie rod ends and they were all the same size and much larger than the stock ones.
