So your truck looks clean, straight, original and rust free? And running well?
Also looks like you just bought it from an auction or something, so how much do you know about it? What does it need (besides the obvious, paint and probably a new interior)? What are your goals for the truck?
Form your pic(s) and undisclosed location, you live in the southwest (palm trees and brown mountains) where rust free old vehicles aren’t as special. That ballparks your trucks value at $5k tops?
I had no idea how low of value project Novas are. Just hit the Fbook around this region and for 3rd Gen’s, $2500 running partially rusty shitboxes haven’t sold for months (presumably) and a non rusty shitbox built with a cage and 11sec time slips asking $15k. The rest are nice paint n interior shiny drivers asking $20k+.
I thought the car you’re considering would be worth more honestly. But imma go (assume bad engine if you don’t want to vet that out first) $2k low end, maybe $4-5k if actually rust free.
Short story, back to which vehicle do you want and can you spin a wrench?
And remember, guy wants to trade you, not the other way around. Back to my first post, he’s trying to get the better deal. Up to you to figure out who’s smarter.
