Well after my motorcycle took a dump on me and left me stranded 181 miles from home i wound up getting a deal on a 1985 Chevrolet Scottsdale C10. I traded that pos bike for her.

Her name is the bitch, the wife named her that since I've been spending more time with "The Bitch" than her. LMFAO.

Now I am by no means a Chevy guy, but if I am to own a Chevy it has to be between a 63 to 87.

The data sheet in the glove box told me she came with a 5.0...... BUT the P/O had a 10066036 GM production block 350 4 bolt main put in about 5 years ago.

She has a th350 that was rebuilt at the same time as the motor was replaced.

The headers have been on since the motor replacement but the exhaust and flow master 44s are about 3 months old.

The alternator, radiator, water pump, hoses, belts, distributor, 8.8mm accel wires, accel plugs, cap, rotor and carb were all replaced about 6 months back.

From what I understood from the P/O was that he owned this truck for roughly 10 years, when he went into the CORPS it sat for most of the time so when his duty was up he replaced just about anything that could have went bad from sitting including the fuel tank and sending unit!

He decided to let this one go because he found one in Arkansas that the interior was fully restored, has a 355 with a 700r4, posi 12 bolt with 4:10 gears and the body was straighter (The bitch has no rust and only a few minor dings and dents) he went to Arkansas and bought the other square instead of continuing to fix this one up so he traded it to me for my bike.

When I got her I was told the carb needed rebuilt but if you poured gas into it she would run. Sure enough he poured a little gas down the carb and she popped right off and ran good.

Upon getting her home and pulling the carb I found that bad gas had gummed up past the jets. So I rebuilt the 1406 Eddy slapped her back on, checked the gas in the tank and it had spoiled as well (don't we all love this new fuel?!?!?!?!?!)

So a deep cleaning on the fuel tank and lines went underway, then I found out that the mechanical pump has went bad as well. The P/O had replaced it recently with a airtex O'Reilly pos. (I can work the eccentric by hand without strain!) so I said screw it and went to my favorite parts depot and ordered an inline electric fuel pump that pushes 7.5 to 9 psi (same pressure rating as the mechanical WHOO HOOO) So it should arrive tomorrow!

More updates soon to come!
