So I'm having some trans trouble and I was going to try to swap it out with a "known good" unit to keep the truck operational and tear down the other...
From what I can gather, in a 1981 4x4 with an np208 I can use a 2wd short shaft trans and cut 3/4" off of the output shaft? Seems to good to be true?!
Anyone have any experience doing this?
