Ok gearheads I’d like some help and or opinions with a th350 and shift kit.
First the trans is still in the truck so internal dual feed can’t be done at this time. When a complete rebuild is done it will be internal dual fed
I have 2 shift kit separator plates 1 is a transgo as the transfer plate for dual feed is tack to the plate. The 2nd is a B&M as it is gold in color and I have the transfer plate to dual feed but I am missing the silver plate that comes in the kit. I also have the 2 gaskets for under and on top of the separator plates.
Questions is can I use the B&M plates without the silver plate to dual feed or is the silver plate a must ?
I suspect most will tell me to use the transgo plate.
Second will the plate gaskets I have work with the transgo plate as the gaskets I’m pretty sure came with B&M kit.
Third question is I purchased a Superior shift correction kit also
There a part in the instructions that is optional to drill a 1/16 hole to prevent loss of converter lube during heavy throttle. I’ve install shift kits before but have never heard of this step, does anyone have any insight to this modification ? That would be step 14 in pics provided.
Last there is a gasket supplied to be installed between separator plate and spacer support plate. Would this gasket supplied be equivalent to dual feed also ??
I purchased this kit mainly for the spring to modify the valve body itself.
Here are pics of questioned gasket and optional step with the superior kit
If more info is needed please ask me and I’ll provide anything I can.
Thank you
