Stuck parking brake

So this is not a square body, but I think it will relate.
I have a 64 C10. The emergency brake cable was sticking on the right side.
I drilled a hole in the hub just outside of the axle flange. This allowed me to get a punch on the emergency brake lever inside the hub and to drive it back with a punch , releasing the tension. I hope this will be of some use.

You can see the shiny area on the emergency brake lever where I had positioned the punch to give her hell with the hammer of the Gods.

SBC pushrod with one end ground flat.
