Straightening the bed with frame and cabin

Installing bigger tires to my longbed fleetside c10 (33x12.50R15, yes they fit with stock 8" steelies and 1.5" lift up front) it became clear that my bed is not lined perfectly with the frame. At the rear wheel wells it is almost 1" to the right and the same can be seen looking at the vertical gap in between the cab and the bed – 1,5" at drivers side and 1" on the right side.

Question: is it difficult to straighten the bed? Is there free play in the mounts for adjustment? What else should I know before starting to loosen the mounting bolts?

There is some play with the bolts through the mounts. You will just have to loosen them and experiment. I would spray some rust penetrant on them and let them set for a day or so. If you can get a torch in to heat the nut up prior to trying to turn it would be a bonus. Its common for the carriage heads to spin in the bed sheetmetal if you are in a rust prone area, so anything you can to helps.
