I'm restoring an 83 Chevy K10 steering column. When taking it apart I noticed there was no key hazard buzzer switch at the ignition key cylinder. I also noticed there is no contacts at the turn signal switch for the key hazard buzzer switch to contact. I also have steering columns from a 76 and 78 Chevy C10's that don't have the switch or contacts on the turn signal switch also. Could it be that GM didn't put these hazard buzzers on all their vehicles? I thought this was mandatory from 68 on for safety reasons. Any helpful information would be appreciated. Thanks!
