Looks great! Wide enough to look beefy, but they still look stock

Thank you for noticing the details. That is the look I was going for.

Not sure why, but I really seem to like the stock OEM white 8 lug wheels with the dog dish hub caps. Maybe I'm just getting to damn old. I also like the OEM tires size that came on my 3/4 ton. 235 85R16. Tall skinny tire. Just never been a fan of 1/2 ton trucks and like the OEM stance of the 3/4 ton C20/2500 trucks.

This looks good too for a C20/2500.

Has anyone put 16x7 8 bolt wheels from Wheel Vintiques on there truck? Just wonder how you liked them and if you have any pics? I was thinking about putting a set on my 78 c20 with 265/75 and a 2.5 inch lift. Thanks for any info

I had been trying to decide which wheels and tires to get for my 77 3/4 ton 2 wheel drive project and was inspired by this thread to order the Wheel Vintiques 16x8. I especially liked the wheels and tires on Casey's truck. I love the stock look with a little wider wheels and tires. I went with Goodyear Wrangler AT tires 265 75 16. I will post a picture when they are on my truck.

I finally had my new tires mounted and balanced. Guess I was trying to wait until I got the truck running but couldn't wait any longer. I had to see them on the truck. As I previously mentioned they are Wheel Vintiques 16x8 with Goodyear Wrangler AT 265 75 16. I painted the wheels white and couldn't be happier. They look awesome on the truck. I will take some better pictures once I get the truck running.

Unfortunately the stock hubcaps are very difficult to remove from these wider wheels. Pretty much impossible because they sit deeper in the wheel. This shrouds the side of the hubcap. There isn't enough space to insert a pry bar. Guess I have to make a special tool to remove them. That's probably why Casey installed newer style hubcaps that are secured to the lug nuts. That's an option but I want the original hubcaps on my truck.

I think if you use this type of tire iron and use this end behind lip of the hub cap you may be able to pop them off...

Maybe but there is very little space to insert a pry bar. I will figure something out.

You might check ebay for hubcaps. That's where I bought mine.

Where did you get the wheels? Im also thinking of trying to track down a set of steels like that but in a 10" wide.

I watched ebay for several weeks and bid on several auctions but didn't win. Eventually a set was listed for $99.00 buy it now so I snagged them. That's more than I wanted to pay but they are in great condition. I removed a couple minor dings with a hammer and polished them with mag wheel polish. Now they look almost like new.

I guess you know these hubcaps are different on a 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton? They look very similar but the 1/2 ton has 5 bars and the 3/4 ton has 6 bars. They're also a different diameter and will not interchange.
