On my 79 Big Ten it has a 100MPH speedo with no KMH, like what was put in 73-75 trucks. My 76 C10 (not F44) has a 100MPH speedo with KMH. I first thought that the speedo had been swapped in my 79, but I had seen a 79 Big Ten for sale, claiming 45xxx original miles that also has a 100MPH speedo with no KMH. This raises the question of what designated what speedo a truck got? I guess it could be a freak thing to have two 79 Big Tens with speedos swapped from an earlier truck but I doubt it. Can anyone shed some light here?
73 cluster for reference. 100MPH, no KMH. Warning light.
