My first post here Yall, Loving this place tho, lots of good info!!
I just purchased an 87 Chevy V10. The cab and front fenders have been replaced, and a TBI 5.7 with 700R4 resides between the frame rails. I plan to restore this truck as it is for the most part completely rust free. For the time being I'm going to run the current setup, the engine runs good but needs dialing in, and the same goes for the trans. Looks like the PO bashed the TV cable off the bottom of the cab a few times and it no longer moves freely. Hoping to purchase a TV cable and Speedo cable at the same time.
My question, does anyone know the length of the speedo cable to make it all the way around to the passenger side of the T-case? The current cable basically ends rite by the TCC connector on the 700R4 and is useless. I'm guessing the cab came from a 2WD rig.
Here is a couple pics of my truck
