Spark plug non-fouler?

Has anyone ever used spark plug foulers? My #8 cyl spark plug gets fouled much quicker than the others , so I assume that I need new rings. While I was buying new plugs, the guy helping me suggests a spark plug non-fouler, which basically shrouds the plug from oil blow by.

I am using one now. Do these work and are there any drawbacks?

Also, how much is it to get new rings installed and is there anything that should be done while doing the rings? Or would another engine be cheaper...

I have used a few in the past and they did indeed work. Well worth the few bucks if you are just trying to get by for a while.

yep only real problem is if you have headers they may cause issues with not being able to fit or clear the headers, or burn wires, but for stock manifolds they usually work fine.

They keep the tip of it from being in the chamber and getting oiled down.

I saw a dodge 318 motor once that had all 8 plugs with them on em lol.

Same here, had a few old Dodges with them as well lol!

Ok thanks, good to know. I took it out for now, it came loose. I will re-install it if I keep getting dirt on ma plug.
