So, What exactly is the diffrences between 87' and 88'

because I have an 88' but everything obviously that i can see is all the same, but everywhere i look they have parts to trucks up to 87, so please enlighten me

1988 was the first year of the GMT-400. 1 tons were available in the newer style and older style. Crewcabs, Blazers and Suburbans up to 1991 were old squarebody style only. Basically, there was no real noticeable differences between a 1987 and a 1988 square.

So what is it that you have in an 88 model? 1 ton, Burb, Jimmy or Blazer? How about that 87?

agreed what is your 88 and then we better know. The 1/2 and 3/4 tons and that's trucks were the newer body style like I got.
