Yes, for this application none of it will be needed since I am going with Holley EFI.
You do realize the cannister vented your tank. Helps keep fuel from evaporating and helps keep dirt and moisture out of the tank. Early 70s and prior every winter Heat went on sale to keep fuel lines from freezing from the moisture in the tank. Nobody even mentions heat anymore.

Yep, going to be running an aftermarket vapor can above the tank to a rollover valve in the rear for venting duty. So technically not removed, just relocated to the rear.
