sm465 speedometer gears

I toasted my rear axle in my diesel,3.08's, its been dieing a slow death,, I am putting in 2.73's with a new rebuilt sm465 out of 77 that had 3.73's in it..

so the speedo is going to be off,, the stock drive gear for 3.73's is 7 tooth and the driven gear is 19......

ive searched this site for hours and the web for daze,, cant find nothing..

one site shows 8 tooth drive gear with 23 tooth driven for 3.73"s? but i know that is wrong.. chevy diesels came with sm465's from 82-87 with 2.73 gears..

i need a driven gear,, from my calculations? i guess in looking for a 13 tooth driven for the 7 tooth drive gear? or am i doing it back wards,, wouldnt be the first time.......

So i guess what i need to know is what driven gear do i need for 2.73 rear gears and with a 7 tooth drive gear in the sm465?

yea i know about adaptors,, didnt want to go that way really,, but if so? what ratio would i need?

i know someone one here is really good with math,, i am not,, i just fix old junk..
