Yes,.. your photo shows a Factory Slider. Notice it doesn’t have the wide aluminum frame like this aftermarket slider.

A LOT of GM windows had aluminum trim. Infact, it was the possibility of a large portion, as a bunch of trucks with sliders were higher trim, higher trims got bright trim usually. Its not a 100% 1:1 becausee of the 80s changed that a bit, but my 1980 is a FACTORY like that, but it is different, ill show you

Infact, that may be a factory copy you just posted, with a lockstrip (if its not an OEM one)

These are just the window seals, but whats being looked for is the seals of the window itself. The window to the cab is not what most people are needing. Mines fine.

But the actual seals for the sliding mechanisms. but if what you say about the glass and windows on the 80s vs the 70s is true, this is hopefully a good sign with the previous brought up kit which does have the seals

I need the seals for the sliding portions as well. My window to cab seal is fine for now.

Here is what I have. The thinner, black frame is what the truck had installed when I bought it - I just removed it about an hour ago

The wider aluminum frame was in the bed of the truck when I bought it and has been sitting in my backyard for 5 or 6 years now

I want to go ahead and install the aluminum frame, as the slider doors and latch are still intact whereas they are completely missing on the black frame

Can anyone point me in the right direction for which gasket I need? Also, the gaskets that seal the slider doors are all rotted and starting to pull out. Are those replaceable? If so, do they have to be replaced while the entire window is out? Or can they be replaced after the window is installed?

I looked like hell for a gasket for the OE slider, finally wound up with an aftermarket slider. Also the front gasket with the trim form LMC didn’t fit. Life goes on

youll need to live with leaky seals or wait for someone to make them

The gasket can be a simple gasket or one with a locking strip (which is visible usually)

Thank you for the info.

Does that locking strip typically come with a new gasket or is it separate?

Mine has an aftermarket slider in it and one side is super loose and the other is so tight it only opens a third of the way like its tweaked and jammed up, I have a new glass and seal just haven't had the time to mess with it.

In this pic you can see how wonky the seal fits the cab, I think they broke the original glass and stuck a slider in it as there were shards all in the cab corners, behind the tool try and under the rear vinyl.

It’s not optional
For the seal that it goes in it is required, the standard seal is different.

I'm swapping mine to the seal that doesn't use it I don't like how it changes color. It has a coating on it that fades and turns color and looks like crap.

I thought the standard seals that you rope in were not for sliding windows, which the OP has.
But idk I’m not a window gasket expert.
